In a mass killing during Guatemala’s civil war, soldiers murdered more than 200 people in the village of Dos Erres. Amidst the violence, they decided to spare the lives of two young boys, Oscar and Ramiro, and proceeded to raise them as their own. Decades later, investigators began trying to find Oscar to provide evidence of the army’s crimes. This documentary film by Ryan Suffern tells the story of this 1982 massacre and the relentless search for justice. Discussion to follow.
