Capitol Hill Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide Wednesday, April 5, 2017 5:30-6:30pm - Reception 6:30-8:00pm - Program US Capitol Visitor Center North Orientation Theater 1st St. NE and East Capitol St. NE. This solemn annual remembrance, featuring remarks by Members of Congress, is being hosted by the Armenian Caucus, with the participation of the Armenian Embassy, the Office of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, and Armenian American organizations. Transportation: The closest metro stations are Union Station (Red Line), located at First Street, NW, and Massachusetts Avenue; and Capitol South (Blue / Orange), located at First Street between C and D Streets, SE. On-street parking is limited in the area; a public parking lot is located at Washington Ave. and D St., SW. Bus transportation is available from Soorp Khatch Armenian Church (4906 Flint Dr., Bethesda, MD) at 4:00pm and will return to Soorp Khatch at8:30pm.
