Details
State security forces violently arrest, rape, and kill civilians protesting unfair elections, political oppression, fuel prices, food shortages, and COVID-19 restrictions. The Zimbabwean government also continues to deny the 1983-1987 Gukurahundi genocide, during which the Zimbabwe National Army killed more than 20,000 Matabele civilians.
